Immigrating to Canada

March 25th, 2017 - After our brief trip to Thailand, my parents - originally from Shanghai, China - decided to immigrate to Canada in 2001. We've stayed in Toronto ever since, and it's what we now call home. I am so used to the hustle and bustle of rush hour on weekday mornings, the familiar screech of streetcars traveling down Spadina, and the anthem 'O Canada' we sing every morning all throughout elementary and high school. We came here so that I could have a better education, and I am so grateful for all of the sacrifices they have made for me. I always try to study hard and learn as much as I can from my everyday experiences, and hope that one day I can take care of them and make them proud.
